shooting July 30

every hour

im thinking a shot gun

all night long

10:30
11:30
12:30
1:30
2:30

waking me up every time.

not one or two or 5 shots but one right after the other...

20, i counted boom, boom, booom, booom ,boom right in a row

what kind of gun would do that....not really a lot of time between shots for reloading......

not far from the property either , sounds like its coming from the road that goes around the back of the property, but what do i know about how sound travels in the mountains?

what the hell kind of game are these hillbilly, yahoos playing?
That's what scares me. The thinking processes going on up here.

chasing deer out of their crops? or thieves? or just being assholes? of course, not being judgemental /:) raised eyebrows

it was cool enough for sleeping , after midnight it cooled right down.

Yesterday is the first time i walked out in the morning and said "HOT" . I didn't need to check the temp. it was just HOT. but still not unbearable here under the trees, I think the green lawn and the water features here in the yard help with that comfort level.

Fran's not coming today, she really has important stuff to do on Monday but is going to try for Tuesday instead. Well, no worries Fran, if you can make it that will be great. If you can't , you can't. No worries about it. Don't stress about it.

I think ill go to the Farmer's market in Oroville anyway. I think i should be going out because i can feel myself becoming withdrawn and reclusive .

yeah , i think i will get ready to go. ill check back in later

Saturday almost noon.

So cool. The Farmers Market this morning in Oroville. I sure wish i could bring you all to it. Tent after tent of the most luscious and fresh fruit and veggies i've ever seen. And buckets upon buckets of riotous flowers, exploding with color and textures.

Im glad i went early......I left here around, just before 8. Parking was free and easy. It wasn't too crowded, yet, and it hadn't reached 100 either. It will have by now.

I also picked up some yogurt and almond milk and avocados at the grocery store.....i forgot the eggs again.

I got about 7 lbs of "over-ripe" tomatoes for $5 and am going to make a big batch of cold soup. It will freeze well too and can also be used as sauce. Corn was 5 /$1 ill cook and freeze little batches of it to put in my soup or salsa or salads. I was really tired of cooking when i was home but im so inspired now with all this beautiful organic produce. I had to stop myself; so i didn't get any squash even though i wanted it but i wouldn't be able to eat it before it gets too soft, i still have one zucchini left from before Mary and Al left.. I did get some super greens, so fragrant. And Thai basil....and cucumbers...... Is there a good farmers market anywhere in Ct? with really fresh organic vegetables? Jill, they were mostly Hmong farmers but no Ka to be found ...

The drive up was awesome as always, i get so excited climbing the foothills back to Berry Creek. I was just zipping down the road with the sun roof open the windows open singing along with Stevie Nicks ,,,,,,,just feeling so ....reckless and free and then i got passed by 2 guys on bicycles and saw i was going 25.......LOL downhill!!!!!!! LOL LOL so silly . I didn' t see any other traffic going up.. except those bikes. And i had to step it up.

I wish i could get someone to take me down to the river. I don't want to chance that Milsap Bar Road with the Subaru.....what a great little car...... I've wanted an Outback or Forester since the first time i went to Ogunquit with Evie's and her brother Mike LaFlamme had one.

Well, im going out to check the garden. Maybe do some sything or raking. Today im playing music just enjoying the day. Hope you are all having a good day too and sure wish you could be here enjoying this great climate and topography and all the wild things with me.

Love always,
Mom/Sal

actually, its pretty hot, maybe ill just get some ice water and a book and put my feet up.
