Hard to believe i haven't even been here August 1

Actually, tomorrow, will be exactly 4 weeks? is that right? yeah. it seems much longer.

so a month

only 10 lbs lost

so yesterday Sunday,

enjoyed the great weather...... in the garden, for a while.

visited with Larry, catching up with 30 years of Berry Creek Gossip.

stuff i've heard but didn't mind hearing again.

took a few photos till the battery went dead.

I had one encounter with the deer yesterday. It was about 7. I was standing in the garden, the back yard where the lawn is and the water features and rock gardens are. I was holding my bowl of cold Gazpacho. And when i looked up here came this buck. He was above the pond , this way toward the house, just coming over the fence. But he was so distracted by his rack which has grown considerably since i watched them last week. It looked as if it was bothering him by the way he was sort of shaking his head around, it looked like he was trying to toss them off. UP and down and around and just shaking it. Trying to graze but then just having to shake it. I walked backwards slowly toward the house, i thought i might be able to squeeze another couple shots out of my camera with that low battery. When i came out the second deer, the doe had just jumped over the fence but froze because she saw me. I did the only logical thing. I ducked behind a tree. I could sort of see around the tree and though i kept looking i didn't see them leave.

Later I watched some silly movie, and went to bed, waking up around 12:30 by the sound of a woman screaming at someone. I couldn't hear what she was saying.

This morning i did a few little things, checked the garden, organized all my vitamins into little bottles for the next 2 weeks. So they're all ready I just have to open one bottle per day.

Then i had to go to CVS to pick up a prescription then headed back up the hill trying to get to the post office before it closed and missed it by half an hour. I like Rob better. The other guy is kind of less friendly.

so here i am.

checking for email from Fran for confirmation, or cancellation. Of her visit tomorrow?

well, just caught myself here dozing off. i better move around a little. xo
